JUKEBOX JOURNEY
As Holmer Green Players next production they will be staging a joyous song and dance reminder of hit songs from each of the eras, from the 1940s to the 2000s, entitled Jukebox Journey. The show will include popular songs like ‘In the mood’ (1940s), ‘Jailhouse Rock’ (1950s), ‘Hey Jude’ (1960s), ‘Dancing in the street’ (1970s), ‘Billy Jean’ (1980s) and ‘One and only’ (1990s) each combined with the choreography that reflects the original song or is typical of when it was recorded.
Twenty two songs covering the whole period will be combined with lighting effects to create the mood of the decade. This show really is a ‘must see’ for all those who have seen the Players previous song and dance productions – and anyone who loves the dance music of the last seventy years!
The show will be staged over Wednesday to Saturday 21st – 24th March, at the Players normal venue, Holmer Green Village Centre on the Common at Holmer Green (HP15 6XG). Wednesday and Thursday performances (priced at £8.00 with £6.00 concessions) come with refreshments in the interval by NO meal during the performance. On Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th March, the ticket prices of £12 & £10 concessions) includes a chicken and chip supper.
